High Density Polyethylene, English name is “High Density Polyethylene”, referred to as “HDPE”. HDPE is a high crystallinity, non – polar thermoplastic resin. The appearance of the original HDPE is milky white, with a certain degree of translucency in the thin section. PE has excellent resistance to most household and industrial chemicals. Certain types of chemicals can cause chemical corrosion, such as corrosive oxidants (concentrated nitric acid), aromatic hydrocarbons (xylene), and halogenated carbons tetrachloride. The polymer is not hygroscopic and has good waterproof vapor properties, which can be used for packaging purposes. HDPE has very good electrical properties, especially high dielectric strength of insulation, which makes it very suitable for wire and cable. Medium to high molecular weight classes have excellent impact resistance at room temperature and even low temperatures of -40F. Hdpe tube HDPE is a thermoplastic polyolefin produced by ethylene copolymerization. Although HDPE has been around since 1956, the plastic hasn’t reached maturity yet. The universal material is also constantly developing new uses and markets. PE can be manufactured in a wide range of different processes. These include extrusions such as sheet extrusion, film extrusion, tube or profile extrusion, blow molding, injection molding and roll molding. HDPE pipe is the replacement of traditional steel pipe and PVC drinking water pipe. HDPE tube must withstand a certain pressure, usually choose large molecular weight, mechanical properties of better PE resin, such as HDPE resin. LDPE resin has low tensile strength, poor pressure resistance, poor rigidity, poor dimensional stability during molding, and difficult connection, so it is not suitable as a material for water supply pressure pipe. LDPE, LLDPE resin melt viscosity is small, good fluidity, easy to process, so the selection range of its melt index is wider, usually MI between 0.3-3G /10min.
